Graduate Surveyor/Placement Surveyor

Jarman Ward is a young, dynamic and ambitious practice based in picturesque Uffculme, Devon. We are seeking a Graduate or Placement Building Surveyor to become part of our fast growing dedicated and focused team.

We are seeking a candidate that is driven and ambitious, keen and enthusiastic with an ability to absorb information and is keen on developing their skills to shape the future of the company.

The ideal candidate will be looking to progress their journey towards Chartered status. Help, advice and mentoring will be available to assist in driving this through the APC process. An RICS qualified counsellor and in-house supervisor are available and additional coaching will be available for those close to sitting the final assessment.

The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit yet expanding team within our Uffculme office in Devon, renowned for exceptional Client Service.

Job Role:

The successful candidate will have an extremely varied role and be given the opportunity to work on a variety of properties including listed buildings, commercial buildings, schools, and residential properties.

We specialise in:

  • Project Management.

  • Design and Specification Work.

  • Building Condition Surveys and Defect Diagnosis.

  • Party Wall Matters.

  • Contract Administration.

  • Measured Building Surveys.

  • Dilapidations.

  • Due Diligence Surveys.

  • Schedules of Condition.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • An ambitious drive to progress and establish themselves in the practice.

  • Keen to gain Chartered Status through the APC process.

  • Seeking a balanced Professional/Project role.

  • Strong communication skills both internally and with clients.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious and organised.

  • Competent on AutoCAD.
