Statutory Approvals

Imagination, Design, Consent

Most building alterations and improvements require approval under building regulations which apply to new and existing buildings. For example, most electrical, plumbing works, major roof repairs, replacement windows and doors or accessibility improvements all require approval from either the local authority building control or an approved inspector.

In addition, some alterations to the exterior of a building or extensions may require planning consent from the Local Authority. We are experienced in producing the relevant information required to obtain planning consent and liaising with the planning department to discuss the application.

We are vastly experienced in designing to the approved document guidance and in the submission of building control applications and liaison with building inspectors. Our expert knowledge will guide you through the technical requirements and considerations.

Building regulations approval is different to planning permission and your project may need both. Contact us for advice if you are unsure.
