Project Details
Client: Private Client
Description of Property: Constructed circa. 1799
Location: Somerset
Survey Type: Full Building Survey
Jarman Ward Limited were commissioned to undertake a full building survey of a Grade II listed property, predominantly Georgian with later Georgian property additions and retaining many of the original features, constructed c.1799.
During the inspection, our surveyor noted several significant defects for example, dry rot to partially concealed timber in the drawing-room below a bay window structure. Further inspection revealed a poorly maintained lead flat roof which was causing water ingress. Our surveyor was not only able to identify the defect but also the cause and therefore the remedy.
Following the release of a comprehensive report our Client was pleased and we organised a follow up call to discuss the significance of the defects found.
The full building survey report was comprehensive and well received by our Client.
