Project Details

Client: REAch 2 Academy Trust
Value: £800k
Location: Harlow, Essex

Jarman Ward Limited provided design and project management services to the REAch 2 Academy Trust successfully managing refurbishment and maintenance works at Water Lane Primary Academy, Block B, following previous management of Block A refurbishment and maintenance works at the site.

The Block B refurbishment works formed part of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) Priority Schools Building Programme (PSBP2) to address defects in the building fabric and improve the internal learning environment, such as improving the thermal efficiency of the building by upgrading the thermal insulation, boiler replacement and improved ventilation to classroom areas.

The scheme was procured utilising a Framework agreement to enable a continuous programme of works to follow immediately from the Block A scheme to minimise disruption to the site.

Jarman Ward Limited assisted the client from commencement of the scheme from feasibility, funding application and successful project delivery.

What Our Client Had To Say

The school has been in no doubt that our two refurbishment projects would be well-managed, completed within the scheduled time and that the high-quality design would manifest to our complete satisfaction. They communicated effectively with school leadership and the construction team; keeping all persons fully informed of progress and managing prompt response times when required. I have found Andy and Richard to be consistently professional and yet they somehow manage to forge a friendly and very approachable working relationship.
